The DJB notice highlights the impact on water supply in various areas originating from the Sonia Vihar facility, stating, "Due to the installation of a flowmeter in the South Delhi rising main at Sonia Vihar WTP and other maintenance works, the water supply in South Delhi will be impacted for 16 hours. Water supply will not be available on January 18 from 10 am until the morning of January 19."
Residents are urged to make necessary arrangements for an adequate water supply during this period. To address any inconvenience, the DJB has assured that water tankers will be provided upon request.
The affected areas, identified by the Delhi Jal Board, include

➤ Sarai Kale Khan
➤ Jal Vihar
➤ Lajpat Nagar
➤ Greater Kailash
➤ Vasant Kunj
➤ Devli
➤ Ambedkar Nagar
➤ Okhla
➤ Kalkaji
➤ Govindpuri
Additionally, residents in Shyam Nagar Colony, Okhla Sabzi Mandi, Amar Colony, Dakshin Puri, Panchsheel Park, Shahpur Jat, Kotla Mubarakpur, Sarita Vihar, Sidhartha Nagar, Apollo, Malviya Nagar, Chhatarpur, and certain parts of the NDMC area are also expected to experience a 16-hour water supply disruption starting from January 18.
The DJB advises residents to stay informed and plan accordingly to minimize inconvenience during the scheduled maintenance activities.
