Earlier last year, in a move mirroring his Karnataka counterpart Siddaramaiah, Reddy instructed police officers to ensure that motorists faced no inconvenience due to his convoy's passage. Additionally, he mandated a reduction in convoy vehicles from 15 to nine, aiming to alleviate traffic congestion.
During a review meeting addressing traffic congestion, among other issues, the CM urged police officers to devise comprehensive solutions. "I want to engage with the people directly. I'll remain active among them to understand their issues and work towards resolving them. Hence, propose suggestions and alternative measures to alleviate motorists' woes," he ordered.
Revanth Reddy directed police to facilitate the smooth movement of his convoy, minimizing disruption to the public. He underscored the necessity of unimpeded traffic flow on routes used by his convoy. The CM stressed the significance of his frequent interactions with the populace, urging officials to explore alternative strategies to mitigate inconvenience along his travel routes. This directive to police officials follows recent reports of VIP movements causing disruptions to ordinary citizens in Hyderabad.
Meanwhile, BRS working president KT Rama Rao today asserted that Congress CM Revanth Reddy would join the BJP following the Lok Sabha elections. He highlighted Reddy's admiration for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, referring to him as 'Bada Bhai' (elder brother), as indicative of his intentions.
KTR challenged Revanth to openly declare his allegiance to the Congress if he had no intentions of switching sides.
