Watch: Haridwar district admin showers petals on 'Kanwariyas' through helicopter
Uttarakhand: Haridwar district administration showered flower petals on 'Kanwariyas' at Har ki Pauri through a helicopter. The Kanwar Yatra is an annual pilgrimage during Shravan, the fifth month in the Hindu calendar (July-August), during which devotees of Shiva visit pilgrimage centres in Haridwar, Gaumukh and Gangotri in Uttarakhand, and Sultanganj in Bihar, and carry water from the Ganga back home.
