On the final day of Chhath Puja, devotees in Dubai gathered at Al Mamzar beach to offer ‘Usha Arghya’ to the rising Sun. Chhath Puja, a four-day festival, is celebrated with deep devotion by worshippers who honour Lord Surya, the Sun God, and Chhati Maiya.

Chhath Puja is one of India’s most cherished festivals, especially in states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and West Bengal. During this time, people worship the Sun God with immense faith, believing his blessings bring prosperity, health, and happiness to their families.

Devotees perform the ‘Arghya’ ritual, which involves offering water and prayers to the Sun.

Worshipping Lord Surya and Chhati Maiya

The festival is dedicated to Lord Surya and Chhati Maiya, considered the protector of families and children.

On this day, people gather by rivers, lakes, and beaches to offer their prayers, showing gratitude to the Sun and asking for blessings.
