Viral Video: Russia President Putin gives 'Param dost' Modi a tour in his electric car

Russian President Putin took Indian Prime Minister Modi for a ride in his electric car around his residence in Moscow as a symbol of promoting friendship between India and Russia. A video of the drive went viral on social media, showing Putin behind the wheel and Modi beside him, enjoying the ride.


Prime Minister Modi met President Putin at the President's House in Moscow on Monday. The meeting began with a warm reception, as Putin welcomed Modi with a hug. The two leaders shook hands and exchanged greetings before heading into their meeting. They also had a private discussion and dinner together.



In a post on X PM Modi said "Gratitude to President Putin for hosting me at Novo-Ogaryovo this evening. Looking forward to our talks tomorrow as well, which will surely go a long way in further cementing the bonds of friendship between India and Russia."


In a significant diplomatic achievement for India, Russia will also facilitate the discharge and return of all Indians reportedly working for the Russian Army. This matter was addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his recent interaction with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The two leaders also addressed the situation in Ukraine, with plans for further comprehensive discussions later today. As per ANI citing government sources, the Indian view is that the solution to the Ukraine conflict cannot be found on the battleground. It is also the view of the global south and naturally needs to have both parties for the resolution of the conflict through dialogue and diplomacy.

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Modi will lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and visit the ROSATOM pavilion. On Monday, PM Modi arrived in Moscow for a two-day official visit at the invitation of President Putin to attend the 22nd India-Russia Annual Summit. Russia's First Deputy Prime Minister, Denis Manturov, welcomed PM Modi at the Vnukovo-II airport, where he was given a ceremonial reception.
