An IOA source in the visiting Indian contingent confirmed the development to PTI.
"Yes we got to know about it. It has been done by her team," said the PTI source.
An Ad hoc Division of the CAS has been set up here for resolution by arbitration of any disputes arising during the Olympic Games or during a period of 10 days preceding the Opening Ceremony.
The matter will be taken up on Thursday morning. Cuban wrestler Yusneylis Guzman Lopez, who lost to Vinesh in the semifinals, had replaced her in the final.
Earlier, in the day, the grappler was disqualified from her final bout after weighing 100 grams more than the permissible limit in the women's 50kg category.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) is an independent body setup in 1984 to settle disputes related to sport through arbitration or mediation.
The CAS has its headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland and has courts in New York City and Sydney. CAS also has temporary courts set up in Olympic host cities.
