The footage, which circulated widely on social media, depicted a woman cleaning pistols in bulk, prompting authorities to launch an investigation. The video led police to verify its authenticity and identify key suspects involved in the illegal operation.
On Friday evening, police raided the suspected factory at 8 pm, arresting Shakti Kapoor Sakhwar, the woman’s husband, and Biharilal, her father-in-law, as they attempted to flee with a stash of weapons. The raid uncovered a large cache of semi-manufactured firearms, including 315 bore and 32 bore pistols, all linked to Shakti Kapoor.
Further inspection of the premises revealed extensive materials and machinery used for the illegal production of firearms. This discovery resulted in the registration of a case under the Arms Act and the arrest of the suspects.
Both Shakti Kapoor and Biharilal Sakhwar were brought before the Ambah court. Biharilal was remanded to jail, while Shakti Kapoor was placed under one-day police remand. During interrogation, Kapoor is being questioned to uncover the extent of the illegal arms distribution network and to identify any additional collaborators. The investigation is ongoing.
