Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar will unveil the bus at the 200-acre sprawling campus in the presence of governor Thawar Chand Gehlot and Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai. The bust is a replica of the one at the Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore.
A division bench headed by Chief Justice Prasanna B Varale and Justice Ashok S Kinagi permitted the Isha Foundation to go ahead with its scheduled event on Sunday, accepting an undertaking from the Isha centre that it will not carry out any new construction activity other than that is necessary to hold the event.
The court had, on Wednesday, directed the Isha Foundation to maintain status quo at its new centre Sadhguru Sannidhi in Chikkaballapur district. On Friday, the court clarified that the interim order will not come in the way of the scheduled event.
The court's order came in response to a public interest litigation from Kyathappa S and others, residents of Chikkaballapur taluk, who alleged that the project would harm the environment, ecosystem and streams.
Six years ago, the Adiyogi was unveiled at the Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore. Since then the 112-foot Adiyogi has mesmerized millions of visitors from around the world, the Foundation said in a press release.
Sadhguru Sannidhi, according to the Isha Centre, is a powerfully consecrated space that will foster spiritual growth and development in individual human beings. It will offer a range of tools and technologies from the classical yogic sciences to bring harmony to mind, body, emotions and energies. The objective is to enhance inner wellbeing and offer all seekers an opportunity to realise their full potential, it added.
