Uttarakhand government has declared a one-day holiday on Monday, July 27, for all schools from Classes 1 to 12 and all Anganwadi centresin Bageshwar district in view of a heavy rainfall warning issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Dehradun.

The order has been issued as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students and staff amid the forecast of heavy rain in the district.

IMD warned of heavy to very heavy rain at isolated places in Dehradun and Bageshwar districts of Uttarakhandwith heavy rain likely to occur at isolated places in Chamoli, Tehri, Pauri, Nainital, Champawat and Pithoragarh districts of Uttarakhand.
