Uttarakhand Disaster: After Chamoli cloudburst CM Dhami alerts Char Dham pilgrims

A devastating cloudburst in Chamoli, Uttarakhand, has left 35 houses damaged, 20 people injured, and 14 missing, with around 200 residents affected. Rescue operations are in full swing, with SDRF, NDRF, ITBP, and local police teams deployed on the ground. The Dehradun - Mussoorie highway has also been disrupted due to landslides and road cracks, though authorities confirm that nearly 2,000 tourists in Mussoorie are safe. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has urged devotees on the Char Dham Yatra to plan journeys strictly according to weather forecasts as the state remains on high alert throughout September.
