Welcoming all the participants at Raj Bhavan, she praised their attire and highlighted the significance of the “Safa/Pagadi” they wore.
She said that the turban symbolises honour, responsibility, and trust, and that the participants are responsible for maintaining its dignity. It is their duty to achieve success in the mission they are undertaking and to honour the state. The Governor expressed confidence that all participants will return victorious with outstanding performances.
Encouraging the participants, the Governor said that the world sets the direction for progress and that the global dissemination of India's rich cultural traditions is the need of the hour. Describing India's yoga tradition, cultural trends, and heritage as very important, she said that through Yoga Day, India has introduced the world to its cultural strengths. Sharing her experiences from her travels abroad, she said that in China, she witnessed children practicing yoga and Indian instructors providing guidance, a testament to India's cultural acceptance.
Highlighting the importance of language, the Governor said that the speech delivered in Hindi at the United Nations by the former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, remains a source of inspiration. She explained that young people abroad want to research “Granths” (texts) written in languages like Hindi, Pali, and Sanskrit, and for this, they come to India to study these languages.
Inviting all participants to see Raj Bhavan, she encouraged them to write a book based on their experiences, cultivate creative ideas, and move forward with a positive attitude.
According to the minister, a total of 79 participants from Uttar Pradesh will participate in the National Youth Festival Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue-2026.
