According to a press release, issued by the UP’s information department, the monitoring mechanism is being further strengthened in the remaining districts in a phased manner. In addition, centralized monitoring control rooms have been established at the Vikas Bhawans of 20 districtsThe control rooms are meant to enable real-time supervision of shelter facilities and cattle welfare.
The release said the initiative reflects its commitment to the protection and care of destitute cattle. “Cow shelters across the state are being equipped with essential facilities including sheds, clean fodder and drinking water, trenches, straw storage units, treatment rooms, adequate lighting, and solar lights, developed in a systematic and sustainable manner,” the release mentioned.
In the press release, Principal Secretary, Animal Husbandry Department, Mukesh Meshram, said that centralized control rooms have been set up in districts including Hardoi, Agra, Jalaun, Jhansi, Sitapur, Barabanki, Rae Bareli, Jaunpur, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Pilibhit, Kaushambi, Shamli, Basti, Ambedkar Nagar, Ballia, Etah, Amroha, Farrukhabad, and Chandauli.
“These control rooms enable better coordination and continuous monitoring of cow shelters. With strengthened surveillance, accountability has improved, and immediate action can now be taken in cases of negligence,” Meshram said in the release. He further added that the system will be extended to other districts in a phased manner.
According to the release, the enhanced monitoring framework is ensuring more organized and responsible care of cattle while improving transparency and efficiency in the management of cow shelters across Uttar Pradesh. In view of the winter season, proper arrangement has been made.
