Uttar Pradesh government asks manufacturers to set up oxygen production units

“Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board has taken a decision that any new/existing industrial unit in compatible land use may set up Oxygen Manufacturing Plants or undertake modifications/capacity enhancement in the existing Oxygen Gas Production capacity by making an application for Consent to Establish/Consent to operate on “Nivesh Mitra Portal” at https://niveshmitra.up.nic.in and start manufacturing oxygen gas duly complying with the standards for Emission and Effluent as prescribed under the provisions of Environment (Protection) Act, 1986.”
“Oxygen Manufacturing Plants (for medical purposes) based on Cryogenic, Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) and/or Water ELectrolysis technologies, among others shall be covered under the ambit of this order,” it said.
All such proposals shall be considered on priority and permission will be issued in the form of letter/Consent Certificate accordingly.
