US State Dept doc outlines priority areas for Quad
The US State Department has released a document on the Quad grouping of India, Japan, Australia and the US, outlining key areas of cooperation to address challenges in the Indo-Pacific region.

It said enhanced cooperation in maritime security, economic prosperity and security, critical and emerging technologies, and humanitarian assistance is crucial to a free and open Indo-Pacific.

The document, however, does not mention counterterror ties, a priority for India.


IT, Supply chains and SECURITY

The State Department said Quad is promoting resilient supply chains and quality infrastructure projects. It said it is advancing trusted information and communications technology infrastructure while expanding work on AI, technical standards, biotechnology and cybersecurity.
