US Envoy Sergio Gor calls for stronger India-US economic ties, eyes $500 billion trade by 2030
US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor highlighted the growing economic relationship between India and the United States, adding greater investment by Indian companies in the US could benefit both countries. It could happen by expanding market access and creating jobs, he added. Addressing the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce National Convention 2026 on Tuesday, Gor called for both sides to work together on issues including predictable taxation and regulatory frameworks, export controls, technology flows and intellectual property protection. He said addressing these areas would help businesses invest, innovate and expand without ‘fear.’
