In a series of posts on X from yesterday and today, Sharma said Uttar Pradesh has been setting new records in power supply and termed the figures the highest in the state's as well as the country's history.
"UP recorded a peak supply of 31,774 MW at 10:01 pm, breaking all previous records. Later, the peak supply reached 31,804 MW at 10:39 pm," he said in his Monday post.
He further claimed that no other state in the country has achieved such levels of electricity supply.
Sharma also said that uninterrupted electricity supply of up to 24 hours was being provided in urban areas, while rural areas were receiving around 22 to 22.5 hours of power daily.
Referring to the power department's field operations, the minister said electricity personnel were working round the clock to address local disruptions caused by technical, natural, or human factors, and urged people to appreciate their efforts.
In his Sunday post as well, Sharma had claimed that Uttar Pradesh had crossed the 31,000 MW peak supply mark at 2:33 am, calling it the highest in the state's history.
He also said that the state had been consistently breaking its own records, adding that its "competition is only with itself."
