Social media platforms have been ablaze with claims of the leaked UP Police constable exam paper, stirring a massive uproar among candidates who participated in the February 17 exam. Allegations surfaced as screenshots and images circulated on X, formerly Twitter, suggesting widespread sharing of the purported leaked paper among aspirants. However, the UPPPRB has refuted these assertions, attributing them to individuals exploiting Telegram's edit feature to propagate false rumors.
"Preliminary investigation has revealed that miscreants are using Telegram's Edit feature to spread confusion on social media about paper leaks for the purpose of fraud. The Board and Uppolice are monitoring these cases and conducting a thorough investigation into their sources. The examination is continuing safely and smoothly," Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment & Promotion Board (UPPRPB) said in a post on X.
Acknowledging a printing error in some pages of the question paper at a center in Varanasi, the Board assured prompt action, urging candidates to submit their representations regarding the matter. Emphasizing its commitment to upholding transparency and integrity in all examinations, the Board vowed to diligently investigate the unverified news trending on social media with the assistance of UP Police.
Despite assurances from the authorities, expressions of dismay flooded social media, with one user on X questioning the UP government's competence in conducting secure exams, citing past leaks in RO and ARO exams. "Is the UP government incapable of conducting leak-proof exams? It happened with RO and ARO, and now with UPP too! Rigorous investigation is imperative," expressed the user.
