UP cancels RO, ARO exam due to paper leak
Only a week after canceling a police constable examination due to an alleged paper leak, the Uttar Pradesh government took a similar decision on Saturday, canceling another exam for review officer and assistant review officer (RO/ARO) positions of...

Chief minister Yogi Adityanath announced a retest within six weeks citing leak of certain questions of the paper on social media and called for handing over investigation to the UP Police's special task force.
The examination to recruit RO/ARO to the UP Public Service Commission was held on February 11. A whopping 1.07 million aspirants had applied for 411 vacancies.
However, concerns were flagged regarding some questions of the paper being made viral on social media ahead of the examination, prompting the government to call for evidence from the public supporting the allegations.
Aspirants had also been protesting vociferously against the paper leak in Prayagraj and demanded a retest. After a report was provided to the administration by the UPPSC, it was decided that the exams be cancelled and a retest done in six months.
"Those who play with the sanctity of examination will not be spared under any circumstances," Adityanath said.
Raising the issue, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav alleged, "The cancellation of RO/ARO exam shows BJP first tries everything to hide its evil deeds but when public exerts pressure, it recedes, fearing a defeat in elections."
