The minister added that over 21.8 crore beneficiaries have received vaccine doses so far.
"So far 21,85,00,000 beneficiaries of Covid vaccine have been inoculated. All states and union territories have picked up the momentum to vaccinate its people. The government made an action plan to vaccinate everyone by the end of December. They also made an action plan to manufacture approximately 250 crore Covid vaccines," ANi quoted the minister as saying.
The health minister Harsh Vardhan today said that more than 1.64 crore doses are availble with states.
Anticipating huge requirement of vaccine doses in the country, the DCGI today eased norms for approval of foreign vaccines in India.
This will help in faster availability of foreign vaccines like that of Pfizer at the earliest in India.
