Two men were shot in their legs by unknown armed miscreants in Imphal East.

A senior police officer said that the attack took place around 7 PM in Khundrakpam, an area under the jurisdiction of Heingang Police Station.

The victims, one identified as a resident of Sagolband and the other from Sekta. The unknown attackers, who reportedly arrived armed, opened fire on the two men, targeting their legs before fleeing the scene.


The locals who witnessed the attack quickly came to the aid of the injured men. They were promptly transported to the Imphal East District Police, who took the necessary steps to ensure they received medical attention. The victims were later rushed to Imphal for treatment at the hospital.

Authorities are investigating the incident but have yet to identify the miscreants or their motives. Heingang Police Station has launched a search operation in the area to gather more information and track down those responsible for this violent attack.
