Petrol bombs hurled at Meghalaya State Pollution Control Board office in Shillong
Guwahati: Two masked men hurled petrol bombs at the Meghalaya State Pollution Control Board (MSPCB) office in Shillong.

A senior police official said the incident took place around 12.20 pm on Monday. “Two masked men on scooters threw petrol bombs inside the premises of the MSPCB. The miscreants targeted two spots, and two petrol bombs were hurled.”

An official at the MSPCB said, “We have lodged an FIR at Laitumkhrah Police Station. The police and the forensic team have visited the site.”


The police official said, “The investigation to nab the culprits has already begun. The forensic team has collected samples and confirmed the devices were petrol bombs. CCTV footage from the area is being examined.”
