Two killed after gas exposure at ESL Steel plant in Jharkhand's Bokaro (Representative Image)
Two people, including a company executive and an engineer associated with a business partner, died following gas exposure at ESL Steel plant in Jharkhand's Bokaro district on Sunday, a company spokesperson said.

The company will conduct an independent investigation into the accident and take appropriate action based on its findings, the spokesperson said.

"An unfortunate incident involving gas exposure occurred in the plant in which an executive of the company and a business partner engineer lost their lives," the ESL spokesperson said.

The company did not disclose the identities of the deceased or provide details of how the gas exposure occurred.

ESL Steel Limited, which operates the plant in Bokaro, is a subsidiary of Vedanta Iron & Steel Limited (VISL).
