The two-day Invest Kerala Global Summit (IKGS 2025) will begin in Kochi on Friday in the presence of ministers from the union government and foreign countries as well as industry captains.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will open the event at Lulu convention centre in Kochi. Union Ministers Shri Nitin Gadkari (Road Transport and Highways), Shri Piyush Goyal (Commerce and Industry) and Shri Jayant Chaudhary (Skill Development and Entrepreneurship) will address the opening session, an official statement said.

Over 3000 delegates are expected to attend the conference, which will focus on AI & Robotics, Aerospace & Defence, Logistics, Maritime and Packaging, Pharma, Medical Devices & Biotech, Renewable Energy, Ayurveda, Food Tech, High Value-Added Rubber Products, Tourism & Hospitality and Recycling & Waste Management, the statement added.


“The government will see that the investment proposals made at IKGS will be converted into actual projects and put on public domain the progress of their implementation,” Industries, Law and Coir Minister P Rajeeve said.

UAE minister for Economy Abdulla Bin touk Al Marri, Bahrain's commerce and industry minister Abdulla bin Adel Fakro are expected to take part in the event. Industrialist MA Yusuf Ali, ITC chairman Sanjiv Puri (62) and Adani Ports and SEZ MD Karan Adani will also address the gathering.

Rajeeve told ET that the government would sign up only such MoUs that are realistic and would pursue them to see 60% of them translate into actual investment. He hoped the event would attract investment deals worth Rs 1,00,000 crore plus.
