Twitter restores blue tick to Venkaiah Naidu's personal account; removed earlier due to inactivity

Twitter on Saturday restored the verified blue tick to the personal account of Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu after having removed a few hours earlier.

As per govt officials, the Vice President's personal Twitter handle had been inactive for a long time and the social media platform's algorithm removed the blue badge.

According to Twitter, the badge is given for public interest to show an account is authentic. The blue verification badge also shows an account to be notable and active.


Naidu's last tweet from the same account was posted a year back in July.
