Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has called trust the “hardest currency in commerce today” as he pushed for deeper economic ties between India and Germany. Addressing business leaders in Berlin, Goyal outlined an ambition to expand bilateral trade from around €31.5 billion to €310 billion, urging greater collaboration in manufacturing, technology, investment and resilient supply chains. He also said the India-EU Free Trade Agreement could become operational within four to five months, and called on businesses to prepare for the opportunities ahead.
