The Trident Group, established by Padma Shri Rajinder Gupta, holds a significant presence in various industries and operates manufacturing facilities in key locations such as Budhni in Madhya Pradesh and Barnala and Dhaula in Punjab.

The ongoing raids are not confined to a single location, as authorities are concurrently conducting investigations in multiple cities. At the Budhni plant in Madhya Pradesh alone, more than 40 officials are currently involved in the raid.

This operation encompasses various premises associated with the promoters and top officials of the Trident Group. Founded during the early years of the country's economic liberalization, the Trident Group has expanded its portfolio over the years to include paper, chemicals, energy, and more.

The income tax raids are anticipated to provide insights into the financial transactions and records of the Trident Group, with authorities aiming to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
