'Totally impressed': Actor R Madhavan praises income tax department

Actor R Madhavan took to social media platform to thanks the Income Tax department for quick refund. "The income tax refund for our company was received within 3 weeks after filing of return for AY 2023-24. The speed and promptness is simply unheard of ..The efficiency and transparency of the income tax department is unbelievable," he said in a post.

"Totally impressed and flabbergasted," he added, tagging Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and the Prime Minister's Office.



Some netizens agreed with actor R Madhavan. "Yes! Income Tax system has improved a leaps and bounds and it deserves all the appreciation. There maybe a few more improvements needed but that cannot be a basis to deny the good work already done," said one user.

Some netizens also commented that they are yet to receive income tax refunds even after months. "It's been 5 months for me sir have not received yet," said an user.

To those who had not received refunds even after months, CA Ankur Jain in a post said: "Pls login and check if there is any notice/information pending to be submitted. 95% of my clients have been issued refunds within 3-4 weeks of return filing. Those who didn't, had some issue/query pending to be submitted."

Madhavan will be next seen in the four-episode web series titled 'The Railway Men' which narrates the of unsung heroes who saved thousands of lives on a tragic night that changed Bhopal forever. It arrives on Netflix later this month. Madhavan will also be sharing the screen with actor KK Menon in the 'he Railway Men'.

Radhavan's directorial project 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect', which was released in July last year, bagged the Best Feature Film award at the 69th National Film Awards ceremony. It narrates the struggles and achievements of aerospace engineer Nambi Narayanan.
