Tomato prices go beyond Rs 100 per kg; delayed rainfall lead to doubled rates
Tomato prices have doubled in the past few days in Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru due to a combination of factors, including heat, delayed rainfall, and a decline in production. The maximum retail price of tomatoes in Mumbai has reached Rs. 100 per kilogram, while the wholesale price has touched Rs. 50 per kilogram.
