Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) on Monday received a donation of 105 hearing aids valued at ₹20 lakh to support children enrolled in its Sravanam project, which offers early intervention for hearing-impaired infants and young children, PTI has reported.

The devices were donated by N Virat from Tirupati. He formally handed over the hearing aids to TTD Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal at the administrative building.

TTD, the custodian of the Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Tirupati, runs the Sravanam project to provide audiological services, therapy, and support to young children with hearing impairments.

“Virat from Tirupati donated 105 hearing aids worth Rs 20 lakh to TTD on Monday. He handed over the hearing aids to TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal,” the temple body said in an official release.

The hearing aids will be distributed to children who complete their structured training under the Sravanam project.

According to the release, the devices are expected to help ensure that the children do not face hearing-related challenges after their rehabilitation.
