Leading English news channel Times Now has announced Amazing Indians, a national platform that celebrates and honours India's common people who have performed uncommon deeds for the improvement of society. The awards ceremony will be held on September 9 in New Delhi.

Times Now Amazing Indians features inspiring stories of individuals who through their grit, determination and selfless acts of service have significantly impacted people's lives, according to a release issued by the channel, part of the Times Group, which publishes ET.

The national awards night will felicitate winners across 12 categories. These include animal welfare, Covid-19 heroes, education, environment, food management and nutrition, healthcare and medical assistance, pollution, rural development, shelter management, slum care, girl child, and women's rights empowerment.


The vice president of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar, will be the chief guest and will deliver the keynote address at the event.

Around 500 Amazing Indians have been honoured and covered through this platform over the years.
