Kuno National Park welcomes new cubs
Earlier, on January 3, officials from Kuno National Park reported the birth of three cubs to Namibian cheetah Aasha. This comes as a part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Project Cheetah,' which aims to reintroduce the large carnivore species that had gone extinct in independent India. The first batch of eight cheetahs arrived in September 2022, followed by a second batch of 12 cheetahs from South Africa in February.
