Kerala confirms third case of Monkeypox in India
Kerala has confirmed the third case of monkeypox in a 35-year-old man who returned to Mallapuram from UAE on July 6. He was admitted with fever at Manjerry Medical College Hospital on July 13 and from July 15 he began showing symptoms, Kerala's Health Minister Veena George said.

His health condition is stable, she added. The minister also said all those who were in close contact with the patient are being closely monitored.

The first monkeypox case in India last week on Thursday was in a 35-year-old man from Kollam in Kerala who had returned from the UAE. The second confirmed case of monkeypox was also reported in Kerala earlier this week. A 31-year-old man from Kannur in Kerala had tested positive for monkeypox. He had landed at the Mangalore airport from Dubai on July 13. He was admitted to a hospital after he exhibited symptoms of the disease.
