'Thanks to youngsters': PM Modi posts second selfie video after NEET paper leak message, thanks youth for their 'insightful suggestions'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday shared another selfie-style video on social media, thanking young people for watching his previous video on the NEET paper leak issue and for sending what he described as positive and insightful suggestions.

The latest video comes a day after the Prime Minister's first selfie video on examination reforms went viral, helping him gain around 1 million Instagram followers overnight and drawing hundreds of millions of views.

Sharing the new video, the Prime Minister wrote: "Thanks to the youngsters who watched my video yesterday and sent insightful suggestions."

In the video, Modi expressed gratitude to viewers for their overwhelming response.

"Thank you friends. Kal der raat aapse milne ka mauka mil gaya. Mere jo video post kiya tha, usko jis prakaar se aapne respond kiya, sakaratmak sujhav diye... Thanks to everybody. Yeh aapka pyaar bana rahega. Hamara naata aur adhik sakriyata se judta rahega. Thank you, thank you doston."

The message was aimed at acknowledging the large number of young people who engaged with his earlier post and shared feedback.

Earlier NEET video went viral

The latest post follows the Prime Minister's selfie-style video released on Thursday night, in which he addressed concerns over the NEET paper leak controversy and outlined the Centre's plans to strengthen the examination system.

The video was shared amid nationwide protests over alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG examination and growing demands for examination reforms.

As of Friday, Prime Minister Modi's Instagram account had crossed 102 million followers.

First video attracted millions of views

The earlier video, captioned "More strict actions against paper leaks to come in tomorrow's Cabinet!", has garnered more than 300 million views on Instagram.

In the video, the Prime Minister acknowledged the concerns of students and parents over the paper leak controversy.

"I know that paper leak is not an ordinary issue. It is very painful for lakh of students and their guardians," he had said.

He also said the government had acted swiftly after the controversy emerged.

"Numerous effective measures have been taken in the past two and a half months since the paper leak incident. The culprits have been caught and are in jail."

The Prime Minister added that ensuring students did not lose an academic year had remained the government's top priority.

"Our most important responsibility was to ensure that students' year is not wasted. The government used all its might to ensure that 22 lakh students could take their exams in the shortest possible time," he said.

Centre announces tougher measures against paper leaks

The viral video was followed by a series of government measures aimed at strengthening the examination system. The Union Cabinet approved amendments to the anti-paper leak law proposing stricter punishment for offenders, while the National Testing Agency (NTA) also initiated a major overhaul, including the removal of dozens of officials, as part of broader reforms to restore confidence in the conduct of competitive examinations.
