Telangana to change TS vehicle registration name, state emblem; Announces new state song
The state cabinet in Hyderabad has made significant decisions, including approving a caste census, scheduling the budget session, and restoring vehicle registration. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will announce two more guarantees in the assembly....

During the cabinet meeting, chaired by the chief minister, the approval was given for the governor's speech to be delivered to the joint session of the council and assembly. Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan's address is scheduled for February 8, followed by the motion of thanks on the next day. The budget is expected to be presented on February 10, although details will be shared after a meeting with the governor. It is likely to be a vote on account.
The Revanth-led Congress government also made decisions to make changes to the Telangana Talli statue and state emblem. These changes will be made after consultation with various stakeholders to ensure that they reflect the aspirations of the people of Telangana. The cabinet ministers mentioned that the current design of both the statue and emblem reflects the aristocracy and dictatorial mentality of the former CM K Chandrasekhar Rao.
Additionally, the cabinet approved the adoption of the song 'Jaya Jaya he Telangana' as the state song. This song, written by poet Ande Sri, gained popularity during the statehood movement and was unofficially adopted by various organizations and schools in Telangana. However, it was not officially recognized as the state song until now.
Other decisions taken by the cabinet include the establishment of the Kodangal Area Development Authority (KADA) for the overall development of the Kodangal assembly constituency, the allotment of 100 acres at Rajendranagar for the construction of new buildings for the high court, and the implementation of legal measures and guidelines for the release of prisoners. The cabinet also approved the upgrading of 65 government-run ITI colleges to advanced technological centers with skill enhancement and job-oriented courses.
Furthermore, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy instructed the cabinet sub-committee on the revival of Nizam Sugar factories to submit a comprehensive report on plans to restructure and reopen the closed factories at the earliest.
