Skill Development Corporation scam case: AP court extends Chandrababu Naidu's remand till Sept 24
The judicial remand of Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu was extended till September 24 by an Andhra Pradesh court on Friday in a case relating to AP Skill Development Corporation scam.

The special court for Anti-Corruption Bureau in Vijayawada extended the former Chief Minister's remand by two days, Additional Advocate General Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy told PTI.

Meanwhile, the hearing on the FIR quash petition filed by Naidu is scheduled in the High Court at 1:30 pm today.

On September 19, the Andhra Pradesh High Court reserved orders on a petition filed by former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu seeking quashing of an FIR filed against him. The court heard arguments from the legal counsels of Naidu and the AP Crime Investigation Department.

Currently lodged in the Rajamahendravaram central prison, Naidu was arrested on September 9, for allegedly misappropriating funds from the Skill Development Corporation, leading to an alleged loss of over Rs 300 crore to the state exchequer.

The court had adjourned the hearing to Friday. It was also expected to hear two other petitions, prisoner transit warrants, seeking Naidu's custody in AP FiberNet and Amaravati Inner Ring Road cases today, PTI reported citing Special Public Prosecutor Y. N. Vivekananda, who is representing Andhra Pradesh CID.
