A Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) office in Bengaluru, Karnataka, received a hoax bomb threat call, causing panic among the employees, an ETV Bharat report said, citing official sources. The incident took place on Tuesday morning when employees were alerted about the threat call and security officials had to evacuate the building.

The bomb threat was specifically targeted at the B block of the TCS office in Bengaluru, the report said. Immediately after receiving the call, TCS security officials informed the Parappana Agrahara police. A bomb disposal squad, along with a dog squad, was also dispatched to the office premises to conduct a thorough search for any possible explosives.

However, after a search by the bomb squad and the dog squad, no suspicious items were found. An official stated that the investigation revealed that the bomb threat call was made by a former female employee based in Hubli, the report said.

This is the second such incident in six months. It is worth noting that a similar incident occurred in May this year at TCS's Kondapur office in Hyderabad, where an ex-employee also made a hoax bomb threat call, leading to the evacuation of around 1500 employees, Indian Express had reported.
