The bomb threat was specifically targeted at the B block of the TCS office in Bengaluru, the report said. Immediately after receiving the call, TCS security officials informed the Parappana Agrahara police. A bomb disposal squad, along with a dog squad, was also dispatched to the office premises to conduct a thorough search for any possible explosives.
However, after a search by the bomb squad and the dog squad, no suspicious items were found. An official stated that the investigation revealed that the bomb threat call was made by a former female employee based in Hubli, the report said.
This is the second such incident in six months. It is worth noting that a similar incident occurred in May this year at TCS's Kondapur office in Hyderabad, where an ex-employee also made a hoax bomb threat call, leading to the evacuation of around 1500 employees, Indian Express had reported.
