This meeting follows Mamata Banerjee's Singur movement, after which the Tatas pulled the Nano project out of Bengal in 2008.
Chief Secretary Manoj Pant was also present at the meeting today.
Chandrasekaran's visit comes a day after the Bengal government announced plans to host a 'Business & Industry Conclave' in Kolkata after Durga Puja.
"There was discussion on several important issues. It would be too early to divulge more details. The meeting will open up future opportunities related to investments in Bengal," sources told reporters.
According to the Chief Minister's Office, discussions covered investment opportunities in Bengal.
The farmers in Singur have witnessed the most rigorous mass farmers' movement under the leadership of Trinamool Supremo Mamata Banerjee from 2006. West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee had steered the political opposition against the land acquisition process of the then Left Front government in Bengal and had forced the Tatas to abandon the project in 2008.
The Supreme Court's 2016 ruling deemed the Singur land acquisition "faulty" and ordered the land's return to farmers within 12 weeks, citing that it was not acquired for public purpose.
