Delhi's Tis Hazari Court on Monday dismissed the bail application of Arvind Kejriwal's aide, Bibhav Kumar, accused of allegedly assaulting Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal at the residence of the CM on May 13.

Last week, he was sent to four days' judicial custody on May 24.

Further, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has said that Bibhav will be moving to the Delhi High Court against the city court's decision to reject his bail plea.

Earlier in the day, Additional Sessions Judge Sushil Anuj Tyagi had reserved the order after hearing submissions by senior advocate N Hariharan for the accused, and counsel for Swati Maliwal, additional public prosecutor Atul Srivastava and advocate Madhav Khurana.

The former DCW Chief broke down in Court during the hearing of Bibhav Kumar’s bail plea case.

While addressing the Court, Maliwal said that if the accused is released on bail, there would be a threat to her family and herself.

In light of this, it is imperative to investigate the Call Detail Records (CDR) of all relevant individuals, including the Chief Minister of Delhi, to ascertain on whose direction Bibhav Kumar was summoned," the NCW said in a press note.
