Supreme Court rules CrPC protections apply to accused under GST and Customs Act

The Supreme Court ruled that protections granted to accused persons under the CrPC also apply to those charged under the GST and Customs Acts. The judgment was delivered in response to 279 petitions challenging the penal provisions of these laws.
