A three-member bench, headed by CJI Surya Kant, issued a notice on a plea filed by a lawyer who sought action against the alleged commercial exploitation and monetised circulation of oral courtroom observations in SC.

The plea arose from SC proceedings of May 15, during which concerns were expressed regarding procedural misuse of courts, conferment of senior advocate designation and the deterioration of standards within the legal profession.
