New Delhi: Supply chains in India are rapidly evolving from operational support functions to strategic growth engines, and recent developments in the trade and tariff landscape offer a critical opportunity to assess value chains and incorporate greater agility, according to a report by professional services network PwC.

According to the report, 'Backroom to boardroom: Securing supply chain's seat at the table', 32% of respondents to a survey believed supply chain could play a greater role in strategic decision-making while 33% felt their supply chain potential to enhance transparency and trust remained underutilised.

"In today's volatile business environment, supply chains sit at the intersection of trust, technology and transformation. Their elevation from backroom functions to strategic enablers is critical to building resilience, agility and sustainable growth," said Ajay Nair, partner & leader, supply chain & ops, PwC India.
