BJP MP Saumitra Khan writes to chairman of Parliament Standing Committee on Home Affairs, requests visit to Murshidabad
New Delhi: BJP MP Saumitra Khan has requested chairperson of parliamentary committee on home affairs to lead a panel delegation to violence-hit Murshidabad and summon West Bengal DGP.

Khan wrote a letter to his party colleague Radha Mohan Das Agarwal, Rajya Sabha MP and the chairperson of the committee.

Khan requested the committee to pay a visit to the violence-affected areas of Murshidabad. Among others, Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is also a member of the committee.


Khan said the parliamentary committee should visit Murshidabad, review the ground situation and question the DGP or SP over targeting of Hindus in Murshidabad violence.
