Justice D’Cunha on Friday handed two-volume findings to chief minister Siddaramaiah into the circumstances that led to the stampede during the victory celebrations of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) team winning the IPL finals.
The CM said he has not read the report in full, and the Cabinet will take a call after discussing the report.
Soon after the tragedy, the CM suspended five police officers including Bengaluru City Police Commissioner B Dayananda.
Earlier this week, the High Court had asked the state government not to file a chargesheet in connection with the FIR registered against the RCB’s franchise, DNA Entertainment Network and Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) without its permission.
