SRH and LSG: Here is the weather forecast for Hyderabad rain. What will happen in case of rain washout?

However, their aspirations face a hurdle with the looming threat of a washout due to sudden thundershowers in Hyderabad. The city's heavy rainfall has drenched SRH’s home ground, raising concerns about the match's fate.

According to AccuWeather, cloudy weather is anticipated on the match day evening, with thunderstorms and winds expected after 8 pm, carrying a 50 per cent chance of rain.


A washout would grant both SRH and LSG one point each, potentially elevating them above Chennai Super Kings in the top four standings. Nonetheless, if SRH emerges victorious against the Gujarat Titans in their upcoming encounter, they could solidify their position as top contenders alongside Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders.

The Orange Army, despite a promising start to the season, has faced setbacks, losing three of their last five matches, including a defeat against Mumbai Indians. Conversely, Lucknow faced a significant defeat in their previous match against Kolkata Knight Riders, struggling to chase down a formidable total.

With the net run rate likely to play a decisive role, SRH holds a slight advantage over LSG with a net run rate of -0.065, securing the fourth position. Meanwhile, LSG occupies the sixth spot with a run rate of -0.371. The Delhi Capitals, positioned fifth with 12 points, also pose a threat to both teams' playoff aspirations.

Two days following Hyderabad's record-high temperature of 47.1 Celsius, heavy rains brought relief to the city, lowering the mercury to 40.2 Celsius. The downpour, averaging 38.5 mm, inundated various parts of Hyderabad, with Serillingampally and Kukatpally experiencing intense spells of 133.5 mm and 117.8 mm, respectively.

However, the heavy rainfall resulted in traffic snarls and disruptions across key locations, exacerbating commuters' frustrations. Complaints of tree falling, water logging, power cuts, and air travel disruptions further complicated the situation, highlighting the challenges posed by the sudden deluge.
