In a big announcement, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal revealed the government's plans to host a Delhi Shopping Festival on the lines of renowned Dubai Shopping Festival. While addressing attendees at the Chandni Chowk Shopping Festival in Rangpuri, Kejriwal said the government plans to organise the big event soon.

Kejriwal acknowledged that the planning and execution of this festival were taking longer than anticipated due to missed deadlines. However, he emphasized that the delay was necessary to ensure that the inaugural event would be a grand spectacle, leaving a lasting impression on attendees.

The Delhi Shopping Festival is set to span seven to ten days, inviting visitors from across the globe to experience the vibrant celebrations that will engulf the city. Kejriwal emphasized that Delhi would be in a festive mood throughout the duration of the event.

One significant aspect of this festival is the creation of a virtual market known as Delhi Bazaar, designed to bring together all the shops in the city. Kejriwal highlighted that through this platform, the government aims to facilitate easy exploration of Delhi's markets and enable residents to purchase their preferred products conveniently.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister hinted at the possibility of organizing multiple shopping festivals in Delhi, potentially even categorizing them by sector. He said, "This is a great initiative, and in the future, we can organize such festivals in different parts of Delhi. We can organize such events market-wise and sector-wise so that buyers and sellers can interact with each other."

The Delhi Shopping Festival is one of the key initiatives proposed in the Delhi Rozgar Budget, aiming to boost employment opportunities in the city. While the event's preparation may have encountered delays, the government's commitment to making it a memorable experience for all remains unwavering.
