Sonia Gandhi admitted to Delhi’s Ganga Ram Hospital, under observation in gastroenterology unit

Sonia Gandhi was taken to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi on Sunday night. As per the hospital’s statement, she is receiving treatment for a stomach-related problem and is currently under observation in the gastroenterology ward.

Congress Parliamentary Party chief Sonia Gandhi was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi on Sunday due to a stomach-related problem, the hospital confirmed.

She is currently under observation in the gastroenterology department.

Earlier this month, on 7 June, Sonia Gandhi was also admitted to Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital in Shimla for a routine health check-up.


Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister's media advisor Naresh Chauhan had said that she had some minor health issues. Doctors later confirmed her condition was stable.

In February this year, the 78-year-old Congress leader was hospitalised at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital for a similar stomach issue.
