Srinagar: Prominent climate activist Sonam Wangchuk on Tuesday said that he will join Cockroach Janata Party members on June 6 if the Union education minister doesn't resign by then. Wangchuk, in a video message, said that he is worried about the 2047 Viksit Bharat goal of the central government and despite good education policies, implementation on the ground is worrisome and would not yield the desired results. "Cockroaches have proved that they are patriots and want a change on the ground because of recent issues in NEET, CUET and CBSE, but I see nothing is changing for decades here... I want a change to ensure that those currently in primary schools have proper infrastructure so that they can lead the nation when they are in their 20s and 30s around 2047," said Wangchuk.
