'Some people give votes, some give slaps', says Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut after CISF constable slaps Kangana Ranaut
Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut alleges that the CISF constable who slapped Kangana Ranaut at Chandigarh Airport was provoked by the actress' comments during farmers' protests. Raut appeals for respect towards both Kangana and the farmers, emphasizin...

Raut's statement came after the incident where Kulwinder Kaur, the woman CISF constable stationed at Chandigarh Airport, reportedly slapped Kangana Ranaut on Thursday. He emphasized the need to maintain the rule of law and not take matters into one's own hands, even when sentiments are high.
"If the constable has said that her mother was also sitting in the farmers' agitation, then it is true. If her mother was there and someone said anything against it, then it would create anger," Raut said, as quoted by ANI. He further added, "The people in the farmers' agitation were sons and daughters of India. If someone insults Bharat Mata and someone is offended by it, then it is something to think about."
Raut also appealed to the public to respect the newly elected Bharatiya Janata Party MP from Himachal Pradesh's Mandi, stating, "I have sympathy for Kangana. She is an MP now. An MP should not be attacked, but the farmers should also be respected."
In response, Kangana Ranaut, in a video statement titled “Shocking rise in terror and violence in Punjab" after landing in New Delhi, stated that she was safe and fine. The 35-year-old Kulwinder Kaur from Sultanpur Lodhi in Punjab, posted at Chandigarh Airport for the last two years, claimed that the Mandi MP made a derogatory remark during a farmers' protest.
She alleged that Kangana said farmers protested in Delhi because they were paid ₹100 or ₹200. This remark had angered Kulwinder Kaur as her mother was also among the protesters stationed there.
The incident has sparked debate and discussions regarding the treatment of MPs and the sentiments of protesting farmers, highlighting the delicate balance between freedom of speech and respect for differing viewpoints.
