The Supreme Court of India has granted bail to Pawan Bishnoi and Jagtar Singh, two accused in the 2022 murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala.

The court’s order allows the two accused to be released from custody while the trial in the high-profile murder case continues. The case relates to the killing of the singer, whose real name was Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, in Punjab’s Mansa district in May 2022.

Moose Wala was shot dead by unidentified assailants on May 29, 2022, a day after the Punjab government curtailed his security cover. The attack shocked the music industry and triggered a major investigation by Punjab Police.
