SIA identifies assets of banned Jamat-e-Islami worth Rs 2.58 crores

Special Investigation Team (SIA) on Thursday identified properties at nine locations in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir worth Rs 2,58,03,333.

"To choke the availability of funds for secessionist activities and to dismantle the ecosystem of anti-national elements & terror networks hostile to India's sovereignty, following properties belonging / held by banned JeI J&K in District Shopian of South Kashmir have been notified by District Magistrate Shopian," stated a press release.

These premises/ structures have been sealed and entry and usage has been prohibited reads the notification. Besides “Red entry” to this effect has been made in the relevant revenue records.


DESCRIPTION OF PROPERTIES

1. Land measuring 2 Kanals and 15 Marlas vide Survey No. 291 land, under the title Jamat e Islami Ameer District Ab. Hamid S/O Mohammad Yaseen Ganie R/O Nadigam,Shopian.
2. Land measuring 07 Marlas vide Survey No. 288 land, under the title Jamat e Islami through Ameer District Shahzada Aurangzeb S/O Hakeem Gh. Nabi Shah R/O Chitragam.
3. Land measuring 07 Marlas and 3 Sirsal vide Survey No. 813/289 land under the title Jamat e Islami through Ameer District Shahzada Aurangzeb S/O Hakeem Gh. Nabi Shah R/O Chitragam.
4. Land measuring 16 Marlas and 07 Marlas vide Survey No. 693/290 land, under the title Jamat e Islami through Ameer District Shahzada Aurangzeb S/O Hakeem Gh. Nabi Shah R/O Chitragam.
5. Land measuring 01 Kanal and 07 Marlas vide Survey No. 293 under construction building, under the title Jamat e Islami through Ameer District Shahzada Aurangzeb S/O Hakeem Gh. Nabi Shah R/O Chitragam.
6. Land measuring 04 Marlas and 02 Marlas Possession only, under the title Jamat e Islami J&K, Shopian, 4 storey building JEI office already sealed.
7. Land measuring 17 Marlas vide Survey No. 292 land, under the title Jamat e Islami through Ameer District Mohammad Sultan S/O Mohda Wani R/O Nownagar Tral.
8. Land measuring 17 Marlas vide Survey No. 199 land, under the title Jamat e Islami through Ameer District Shahzada Aurangzeb S/O Hakeem Gh. Nabi Shah R/O Chitragam.
